Payees

Payees provide a way to store a payee name (account-holder) against UK payment details - an account number (account-number) and a sort code (bank-id) - and to easily reference these when making a payment.

Payees can be set as the creditor for a payment. See the guide on making a payment for a walkthrough of how to create a payee and send a payment to a payee creditor.

Payees are associated with a legal person, and not with accounts. For example, your organisation's legal-person will have a single list of payees whom you can pay from any of the accounts that you hold.
