Statements
What is a statement
A statement is a summary of all transactions on a bank account that occurred during a specific period of time, typically a calendar month. Largely because that is how often most pay interest.
Statements in the Griffin app
Statements are available via the Griffin web app. To generate a statement:
- Navigate to the relevant account in the customer app
- Click on the 'transactions' tab
- Select the relevant dates for the statement (we provide 'last calendar month' for convenience)
- Click 'view printable statement'
- Print the page, and save as a PDF
Note that we do not provide statement capability in the sandbox, due to the potential for fraud
Creating statements with the Griffin API
If you want to create your own branded statements to offer to your customers, we recommend doing this using data from our list transactions API. Note that the API only provides transaction data, you will need to provide supporting data (e.g. customer address), branding, and legal information around the account.
Your custom statement will need to be reviewed by Griffin compliance as part of your product launch.
